Chinese Language (Non-Degree) Programs in Guizhou: Duration and Requirements as Listed

The Guizhou provincial admission brochure for international students (produced April 2026) lists non-degree Chinese language entries at 18 institutions. Twelve of them list a duration of exactly one year. The brochure does not list tuition, scholarship amounts or application deadlines, so those must be checked on each university's official website.

Rows that need a closer look

  • Tongren University (铜仁学院): The brochure places 国际学院 and 乌江学院 in the program column. A long list of other majors sits in a separate column and does not clearly relate to these rows. Confirm the program content with the university.
  • Zunyi Medical University (遵义医科大学): The value "一年或两年" appears under the column headed 招生数量 (enrollment quantity). Read it as the brochure's duration value and confirm the meaning with the university.
  • Guizhou Education University (贵州师范学院): The brochure gives requirements for language students but no program name, duration or teaching language.
  • Guizhou Open University (贵州开放大学): The entry is an online class that combines Chinese with e-commerce skills. It is not a standard Chinese language course.
  • Guizhou Communications Polytechnic University (贵州交通职业大学): The brochure row has no teaching-language field. The 汉语 value appears in the program column.
  • Guiyang Preschool Education College (贵阳幼儿师范高等专科学校): The duration is two years, while most other rows list one year.
  • Guizhou Electronics & Information (贵州电子信息职业技术学院) and Guizhou Traditional Chinese Medicine (贵州中医药大学) also list short non-degree courses that are not language programs. Those are outside this table: a three-month short-term exchange course, and a medical short-term training course of one to three months.

What the brochure does not list

The brochure gives no tuition figures, no scholarship amounts and no application deadlines. It also gives no enrollment dates for most rows. Do not assume any of these from the table. Use each university's international education office or international exchange office website for current notices.

  3. Check the tuition and other fees for the Chinese language entry.
  4. Check whether scholarships are offered and, if so, the amounts.
  5. Check the application deadline.
  6. Check the full list of required documents.
  7. Check whether HSK is required and, if so, the level.
  8. Check the age and education conditions against the brochure entry.
