Guiyang University (贵阳学院): What the Guizhou Admission Brochure Lists for International Students

Sources checked

Guiyang University (贵阳学院) appears in the Guizhou provincial admission brochure for international students, Education in Guizhou, produced in April 2026. The brochure lists 35 undergraduate programs, all taught in Chinese. It does not give tuition, scholarship amounts, application deadlines, or HSK requirements, so those points need to be confirmed with the university directly.

What the brochure says about the university

The brochure gives the university's official website as https://www.gyu.edu.cn and its address as No. 103, Jianlongdong Road, Nanming District, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, China, postcode 550005.

According to the brochure, the university traces its history to the Guiyang Public Normal School, established in 1902. The school was renamed Guiyang Normal School in 1957. In 2004, with approval from the Ministry of Education, Guiyang Teachers' College and Jinzhu University merged to form Guiyang University. Guiyang Normal School was later incorporated into it. The brochure describes the university as a comprehensive ordinary undergraduate institution with several disciplines.

The brochure also lists some research and facility figures for the university, including 187 on- and off-campus internship and training bases, a teaching and research equipment value of 280 million yuan, and a library holding more than 1.08 million paper books in Chinese and foreign languages. These are the brochure's own figures and have not been checked against other sources.

What the brochure does not state

The brochure does not give the following details for Guiyang University:

  • Tuition and other fees
  • Scholarship types or amounts
  • Application deadlines
  • Enrollment numbers for each program
  • Application requirements, including HSK or other language requirements

Because the brochure leaves these out, this article does not provide figures for them.

The brochure is a reference for what the university offers. It does not replace the university's own current notices.
