After you press Submit in the CSC system: revoking, editing and printing

Sources checked ยท Chinese Government Scholarship

Once you press Submit, you cannot amend your personal details or application information. Before the application is processed, you can revoke it, edit it and submit it again. Step 6 sets out this route, and Step 7 covers printing the form.

What Step 6 says

Step 6 is worded the same way in the two notices. The ACYLS guidebook prints it in section V, "Instructions for Chinese Government Scholarship Information System (CGSIS)". The MOFCOM enrollment guide prints it in Attachment 1, "Instructions of the CSC Online Application System for MOFCOM Scholarship". Apart from the quotation marks, the text is identical:

Step 6: Once submitted, amendment cannot be made on "Personal Details" and "Application Information". Before the application being processed by the processing authorities, applicant can revoke the submitted application by clicking "Withdraw" and edit the application. After revoking the application, applicant must submit at second time after re-editing, or the application will not be processed. Once the application is processed, application cannot be revoked.

The first sentence covers both "Personal Details" and "Application Information". The revoking sentence refers only to "edit the application" and names no section.

Revoking and resubmitting before processing

The revoking right in Step 6 applies before the application is processed by the processing authorities. In the order Step 6 gives, the actions are:

  • Click "Withdraw" to revoke the submitted application.
  • Edit the application.
  • Submit the application a second time after re-editing.

Step 6 says that without the second submission, the application will not be processed. Step 6 names no time limit for revoking. It also names no way to check whether processing has started.

Step 6 states that once the application is processed, it cannot be revoked.

Suggestion, not a rule in either notice: before you click "Withdraw", download a copy of the form (see Step 7 below) so you have a record of what you submitted.

Printing the form (Step 7)

In the ACYLS guidebook, Step 7 reads: "Click Print the Application Form and download the form."

In the MOFCOM enrollment guide, Step 7 reads the same way, with "Print the Application Form" set in quotation marks.

Step 7 names no file format.

The step after

Step 8 in the ACYLS guidebook reads: "Submit scholarship application under the requirements of the dispatching authorities (or application processing agency)." The MOFCOM enrollment guide words Step 8 the same way.

Which notice applies

Each step applies only to the programme in its own notice. The ACYLS guidebook is for the ASEAN-China Young Leaders Scholarship. The MOFCOM enrollment guide is for the MOFCOM Scholarship-CSC Program.

For the steps before submission, see the CSC guide on this site.
